Built for Clubs
The Tumbl Trak Junior Kip Bar’s design makes it both safe and effective for your young athlete.
- Rounded corners and flat steel ensures your athlete will be safe and confident when training
- Designed to be very easy to adjust the bar height up and down (from 97cm to 142cm)
- This bar is easy to assemble, allowing for it to be set up and taken down as needed (allen key provided)
- Steel construction with a smooth powder coated finish will keep your bar looking like new and functional for years
- A 3.8cm solid beech wood bar is tough enough for the most rigorous training while providing a gym-like feel
- The 120cm space between the base allows a standard 1.2m wide mat to be used underneath. We recommend our 1.2m x 2.4m Tumbling Mat with a Jr. Practice Mat on top.
- The frame is about 140cm wide and 120cm long, extending to 240cm long with the optional stabilisers
- Recommend weight limits are 22-32kg (3.5-5st) and 56kg (9st) with the optional stabilisers and plywood

Perfect for Home
Tumbl Trak's Jr. Kip Bar has delighted athletes and families for more than 15 years! This original Tumbl Trak favorite comes in 2 different colours and features a 3.8cm diameter solid beech wood bar that provides adequate stability for gymnasts training bar skills. Optional stabilisers are available as an add-on to allow safe training of more intermediate level bar skills, such as casts, kips/upstarts and front/back hip circles. The bar is constructed with heavy grade steel and secure D-2 knobs to easily adjust the height of the bar from 97cm to 142cm. Cross braces attach with an allen key (provided) and lay flat to the ground so that a simple 1.2m wide Tumbling Mat is adequate for modest use. This bar comes with the added bonus of many, many smiling faces and frequent shouts saying, "Watch ME!"
Our recommend weight limits are a "working" load, which is how your athlete will use it (swinging, circling, hanging, kipping). Be wary of competitors who list a high weight limit as that may be indicative of static load (hanging only) and not working load. With optional stabilisers, kids can easily perform skills like kips/upstarts and back hip circles on the Jr. Kip Bar. The kip bar's base can be even further stabilised with a 1.2m x 2.4m piece of plywood for more advanced skills.

The mat needs to be 1.2m wide. The most versatile option is a 1.2m x 2.4m x 3.5cm(or 5cm) Tumbling Mat used with the 90cm x 1.8m x 10cm Jr Practice Mat or 1.2m x 1.8m x 15cm Home Practice Mat.
We recommend 3m ceilings for the highest bar height but if you have lower ceilings you can set the bar lower and it will still be usable.
Tumbl Trak does not normally recommend bars based on age. We prefer to recommend the best bar based on your child's weight. We believe that stability is the most important factor when selecting your bar and considering a bar's "working load" weight limit is the best method.
