Leg Tightening for Jumps & Leaps
Purpose
A bent back leg in a leap or jump is a common issue as athletes are often not able to feel that misshape. This is a simple but helpful drill that encourages the athlete to activate the hamstring, resulting in a quick rise of the back leg. Isolating this movement helps the athlete to feel when their leg is bent during the lifting phase of a jump or leap.
