- Athletes weighing up to 56kg should use Stabilisers & Plywood with the standard Jr .Kip Bar base
- Our recommend weight limits are a "working" load, which is how your athlete will use it (swinging, circling, hanging, kipping). Be wary of competitors who list a high weight limit as that may be indicative of static load (hanging only) and not working load. With optional stabilisers, kids can easily perform skills like kips/upstarts and back hip circles on the Jr. Kip Bar. The kip bar's base can be even further stabilised with a 1.2m x 2.4m piece of plywood for more advanced skills.
- Use the Incline to practice Forward Rolls, Backward Rolls, Log Rolls and Cartwheels down the Incline
- Fold the Incline to create a block for practicing bridges with their feet on the block (hands on the floor), work arms and core strength in a push-up shape with feet on block, jump onto and off the block and Donkey Kicks with hands on block
The Begin with the Basics Package can easily fit into a large bedroom or basement gym area. The Jr. Kip Bar will need at least a 1.4m x 1.8m space and the Sectional Beam will need a 1.2m x 1.2m space and the Folding Incline will need a 90cm x 180cm space.
The Jr. Kip Bar is great for strength skills like pull-ups, chin-ups, leg lifts, straddle holds, tuck holds. There are also many good drills for casting, supports, back and front hip circles, stride circles, cuts, shoot throughs and undershoots that can be done on the Jr. Kip Bar. And, don't forget very basic swinging skills like taps swings.
One Sectional Beam is 1.2m long and can be used for a variety of leaps, jumps, turns, splits, handstands, cartwheels onto or over, and rolls. Many people purchase an additional Sectional Beam to increase the length and variety of skills they can perform.
When the Incline is open, skills like forward & backward rolls, tucks, pikes, straddles, handstand rolls up and down, handstand bridge from floor up the wedge and kick over, cartwheel down, limbers and walkovers down.
Handstand against the edges, bridges with feet up, jump on and off, over splits, feet on for pushups, up against the Sectional Beam with feet on to practice handstand shapes.
