Built for Clubs

Most young athletes need to be reminded of how important their arms are for speed and power. Once in place, the Running Arms™ position the arms in the ideal 90 degree angle recommended for efficient running. The simple design uses a length of soft, stretchy lycra that wraps around the elbow, held in place with comfortable, stitched loops on the thumb.

Adjust the length for different sized athletes using the Velcro tab on the back.

  • Better mechanics = Faster times
  • Efficient movement = Increased endurance

Perfect for Home

The Running Arms is a simple tool that takes the guesswork out of arm position when running! Being efficient at running will come in handy for athletes in most sports training. Some kids have a natural talent when it comes to finessing running technique but others need coaching and constant reminders....especially when it comes to arm positioning! Whatever your motivation, Tumbl Trak Running Arms™ can help you get one step closer to your goals.

The Running Arms™ is a simple tool that uses stretchy, adjustable lycra loops and bands to connect the thumb and elbow keeping the arms at a 90 degree angle, and close to their body which many believe coordinates the entire movement. Simply brilliant! Grab a pair for some at home family fun training.

From Runners World:

The way you move your arms can help you move faster or slow you down. “Your arms should be at a 90-degree angle,” says Nurse. Your palms or fists move from chin to hip. That’s going to help you propel your body forward. Keep your elbows close to your sides. “If your elbows point outwards, that means your arms are crossing your body, which actually slows you down—you won’t be able to get the momentum you need,” says Fierras. Try pointing your thumbs to the ceiling to keep your arms in line or imagining an invisible line that runs down the center of your body—don't let your hands cross over that line.

What other running technique tips could we use to help an athlete improve their form?

While Running Arms are a great way to bring awareness to arm mechanics while running, there are definitely other tips for arm shaping that running experts recommend! 1) Encourage athletes to keep their arms near their body, and NOT crossing over them midline as they swing forward. 2) Hands and wrists should remain relaxed and loose. 3) Elbows should drive backward as far as possible.
